There's purpose in each image. Portraits start conversations, product photos create desire.
I draw my inspiration & creativity from old-school films and nature.
Old films and the outdoors are where most of my ideas come from. I'm drawn to quiet, honest frames over anything posed or polished — I'd rather catch a real moment than stage a perfect one.
I shoot mostly on location, in whatever light the day gives me — soft window light, late afternoon sun, the in-between moments. That said, I do keep a small army of studio lights, which I will not hesitate to deploy in service of our creative goals.

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Mostly just turn up as you are — no experience needed. I'll talk you through where to stand and what to do, and we keep it relaxed. If necessary, we will discuss outfits and colors beforehand.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
Everything I do is free, so there's nothing extra to add. I'm based in Palmerston North and happy to travel locally; for anywhere further afield we can sort the logistics together.
Can you recommend any good locations?
Definitely. I know a lot of quiet spots around Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū — tell me the mood you're after and I'll suggest a few that suit the light.
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
We stay flexible. If the weather turns we'll move somewhere sheltered or pick another day — soft, overcast light is often lovely anyway, so it's rarely a problem.
